Why University of Exeter Business School?

The University of Exeter Business School, Times Higher Education’s Business School of the Year 2022, leads a £30m UKRI programme, the National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Hub, creating business models for the circular economy. Through their research and teaching, they promote leadership for a better world, perfectly aligning with the Chapter’s values. This ethos infuses everything they do, teaching students how to use sustainable and responsible business principles to become successful leaders across three core areas of expertise:

·       Responsible Leadership: Promoting equality, diversity, and social justice, and adapting to the evolving relationship between employers and employees.

·       Technological Transformation: Exploring the ethical considerations of new technologies and their impact on business and society.

What to Expect:

Inspiring Keynotes: Hear from leading experts Ian Fussell, Fiona Charnley, Barry Waddilove, Janice Kay CBE, Omnia El Omrani, MD, Tima Bansal, and Edvard Glücksman who are pioneering change in circular economy, health, and social equity.

PRME Midlands Local Network: One Planet Leadership

PRME UK and Ireland Midlands Local Network, June 5th 2-3pm BST

One Planet Leadership – proposal for implementing collaborative education for staff, students and executives within the PRME network.

Presenters Jonathan Gosling, Emeritus Professor of Leadership, University of Exeter; Miriam Gage, Programme Director, One Planet Leadership courses.

This is an opportunity to find out more about a collaborative One Planet Leadership course targeted at experienced managers (Executive Education) and/or full-time students engaged in capstone projects (Masters or final year undergraduate level).  Given the growing requirement for responsible management practice to address global challenges, what does that call for in terms of responsible leadership, systems thinking and the deeper values required to address the shift from profit only to purpose, planet and profit mindset?  How do we take into account global perspectives and the breadth and depth of stakeholder values that inform this landscape? At this next PRME Midlands chapter event, find out how the ‘One Planet Leadership’ course addresses these issues while providing a forum for global exchange and a deeply experiential and transformative learning experience.  This participative session will also open up how this One Planet Leadership course can help address PRME, AACSB, EQUIS accreditation criteria.
