Conference Organisers: Nathalie Ormrod

In 2013, Aston Business School hosted the Foundation Meeting of the PRME Chapter UK & Ireland. We returned to Aston in 2023 for the Chapter’s 10th Anniversary Conference. The conference theme was ‘Reflecting, Refreshing & Re-envisioning’ and was an opportunity for the chapter to delve into our impact over the past decade and chart a transformative path forward.

140 conference and DC delegates, keynote speakers, panellists, paper and workshop presenters and events management colleagues joined us in Aston.

2021 - Seventh Annual Conference and AGM hosted online by the University of Lincoln

6-7 July 2021

Conference Organisers: Dr Claire May and Professor Ted Fuller

Doctoral Colloquium Organiser: Dr Rachel Welton

After a two year break, the PRME community met entirely online for our 7th conference focused on the theme: Crises and the Re-thinking of Responsibility. Over 120 delegates explored this overarching theme within three streams: Advancing pedagogy; Partnerships with purpose; Creating a vision of socially and environmentally responsible management.

Keynotes were offered by Professor Keri Facer (University of Bristol), Dr Mary Johnstone-Louis (B Lab UK), Ray Dhirani (WWF) and Lord Victor Adebowale ( Chair of Social Enterprise UK and the NHS Confederation).

Full details of the conference can still be found on the conference website.

For the first time the Chapter also offered a Doctoral Colloquium, providing doctoral students across the Chapter membership an opportunity to meet, receive peer and expert panel feedback on their work and make early connections within the wider sustainability and responsibility academic community. The success of this event encouraged the Steering Committee to plan to make this a continuing element in the annual Chapter programme.

2020 - Conference Cancelled

The start of the Covid 19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the Annual Conference due to be hosted by the University of Lincoln. An AGM was held online.
