The PRME Chapter UK and Ireland are excited to announce the winners of the 2025/26 Research Seed Funding Competition. Professor Georgina Gough, competition coordinator, noted the interesting range of research outlined in the applications. These included:

  • Environmental impact: Biodiversity, sustainable systems, and responsible resource use;

  • Inequality: Decolonialism, gender, health, and workforce experiences;

  • Skills and competences: AI and digital, ethics, workforce, critical thinking;

  • Educational methods: Simulations, curriculum design; and,

  • Business practices, innovation ecosystems, and corporate responsibility.

The projects which were successfully funded cover contexts including workforce wellbeing, corporate governance, behaviour change, AI and the innovation/inequality interface. A diverse range of research methods is represented in the funded projects, including Rawlsian analysis, international case study comparison, documentary analysis and interviews. The outputs to be generated by the funded projects include practitioner toolkits, academic publications, a sector report and a networking event.

The Chapter would like to acknowledge the support of the wider PRME community in encouraging and facilitating research which promotes the values and ambitions of responsible management education and of the UN Global Compact and SDGs more broadly. The research seed funding competition aims to further support such endeavours, whilst also being one of the many tangible benefits to members of being a voting member of the PRME UK and Ireland Chapter.

Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, Chapter Chair, shared the following on the outcome: As Chair, I am delighted to see the quality and range of this year's Research Seed Funding competition winners. Our winners are working at the cutting edge of social and environmental issues that underpin contemporary and impactful responsible management research. I congratulate the winners and their institutions and look forward to following their progress and hearing more about each project as it develops.”.
