We are thrilled to announce two upcoming online talks hosted by the PRME EDI Group that tackle two distinct yet vital areas: the inclusive classroom and the changing face of the fashion industry.

We invite our community to join us for these insightful sessions featuring experts from the University of Leeds.

Cultural Intelligence and the Inclusive Classroom

Date: Wednesday 26 November Time: 12:00–13:00 Speaker: Tao Jiang, Leeds University Business School

First up, we welcome Tao Jiang, an Associate Professor of Marketing Practice who is deeply committed to advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within educational practice.

In a globalised educational landscape, how do we ensure every student feels seen and heard? In this interactive session, Tao will examine how Cultural Intelligence (CQ) can serve as a catalyst for engaging all students in diverse learning environments.

By promoting inclusivity, respect, and global understanding, CQ supports the development of responsible leaders and learning spaces that reflect the PRME principles. This talk is designed to provide practical strategies for embedding Cultural Intelligence into teaching and curriculum design, enabling educators to create inclusive, impactful, and ethically grounded classrooms.

Fashion & Responsible Education

Date: 8 December Time: 12:30pm Speaker: Dr Alessia Grassi, School of Design, University of Leeds

Following this, we turn our attention to an industry at a crossroads. Dr Alessia Grassi, Deputy Director of Student Education and Programme Leader for BA Fashion Marketing , presents a compelling discussion on Fashion & Responsible Education.

The current landscape is challenging; we are seeing a return to the "heroin chic" aesthetic, men-centric worlds, and narratives treating climate change as a fictional myth. This session asks a critical question: How can we empower future marketers and managers to change the Fashion Industry despite the political environment we are experiencing?

Dr Grassi will encourage critical reflection and values-driven leadership to promote responsible and inclusive business education. The talk will conclude with a call to action, encouraging participants to embrace their role as change agents. By integrating the PRME purpose into educational practices, we can help reshape the fashion industry to become more conscious and resilient.

We look forward to seeing you there as we continue to drive the dialogue on responsible management education
