Jackie Hicken – our new Administrator We are delighted to introduce you to Jackie Hicken at Birmingham City University, who has taken on the role as our part-time Administrator following BCU’s appointment as our Secretariat Host. Jackie is a Project Administrator within the Business Engagement Team, providing support across the portfolio of programmes and activities at Birmingham City University Business School, following a varied and successful career in the financial sector. Jackie also has extensive project management, which promises to be very helpful in managing the multiple institutional and individual stakeholders in the Chapter. Her first priority is setting up financial and administrative systems for the Chapter within BCU’s operational structures, and then addressing a small backlog of claims that built up while the Chapter had no Secretariat over the late summer. Jackie looks forward to getting to know everyone involved in the Chapter. Her commitment to PRME is one day a week, but spread over Monday, Wednesday and Friday. PRME’s email address at BCU is PRME@bcu.ac.uk Great to have you on board, Jackie, we look forward to all your contributions to Chapter life! Webinars on Preparing for SIP 2.0 The process of PRME Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reporting is changing. From 2024, signatories will be required to complete and submit the new PRME SIP questionnaire via the PRME Commons Platform, which is currently in development. Reporting will take place during a universal submission period, which will run from March to June each year. To help prepare for these changes, the PRME Global Secretariat is holding a webinar on Wednesday 8 November 2023 from 3pm to 4pm GMT (10am to 11am EST). Please click here for further information and to book. In addition, the UK and Ireland Chapter will be holding a webinar on Friday 1 December 2023 from 10am to 11.30am. This will include an overview of the questions in the new SIP2.0, specific consideration of the UK and Ireland context and how it may influence reporting, and a Q&A with SIP 2.0 'Early Adopters'. To book, please click here. If you have any questions you would like addressed on 1 December, please email Laura Steele (firstname.lastname@example.org), PRME UK and Ireland Steering Committee Lead for Organisational Learning and SIP Reporting.
