Seed Funding competition for Developing Innovative Pedagogic Approaches and teaching practices in PRME
We are delighted to announce the launch of the next PRME UK and Ireland Chapter Seed Funding Competition for Developing Innovative Pedagogic Approaches and Teaching Practices in PRME. The competition features an enhanced funding pot of £8,000 to mark our upcoming 10th Anniversary celebrations in 2023.

The initiative was developed in recognition of the fact that financial barriers frequently exist that prevent individuals and groups from putting their innovative ideas into practice. In a bid to help address this, awards up to the value of £1,500 are available.
This year, in addition to the open call, specific funding is available to support the development of the ‘PRME i5’ project, an innovative global initiative by PRME in collaboration with the LEGO Foundation.

There is no set number of awards across the Seed Funding Competition, but rather a total funding pot of £8,000 has been established.

The closing date for applications is Friday 16 December 2022 at 5pm. Submissions should be emailed to PRME_UKI@gcu.ac.uk. All submissions will be acknowledged.

A webinar will be held on Friday 28 October at 10am to formally launch the Innovative Pedagogy Seed Funding Competition. For more information and to book, please click here.

As well as providing an overview of the competition and application process, the webinar will highlight the work of previous competition winners including:

Dr Emma Surman (Birmingham Business School), Dr Caroline Chapain (Birmingham Business School), and Jen Ridding (Barber Institute of Fine Arts): ‘Using Fine Art to Dismantle Colonisation in the Business School’.

Dr Lauren Traczykowski (Aston University), ‘Ethics in Crisis – An Emergent Visual Novel’.

In addition, PRME UK&I i5 Lead, Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, will provide a brief overview of the new i5 initiative.
