PRME Student Competition from Island of Ireland Local Network

PRME Island of Ireland Local Network Student Competition


To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the UK and Ireland Chapter of PRME, the Island of Ireland (IoI) Local Network are holding a student competition on the theme of sustainable food.


Students are invited to develop and submit a three-minute (maximum) video on sustainable food/sustainable food systems.


A sustainable food system encompasses a range of issues such as security of the supply of food, health, safety, affordability, quality, a strong food industry in terms of jobs and growth and, at the same time, environmental sustainability, in terms of issues such as climate change, biodiversity, water and soil quality (European Commission 2022).


There is both an undergraduate and a postgraduate category. Entries are welcome from individuals and teams from higher education institutions in Ireland and Northern Ireland.


The closing date is Friday 19 May 2023 at 5pm.
