Developing and Assessing Sustainability Competences within Enterprise Education - Seed Funding 2025 Winner

The Sustainable Business & Green Growth cluster (at the University of Derby), in partnership with PRME UK & Ireland, is organising a workshop on the 16th of July, 10am to 3pm (venue University of Derby) titled: 'Developing and Assessing Sustainability Competences within Enterprise Education: a toolkit for education practitioners and researchers'.
This collaborative workshop brings together enterprise educators (both practitioners and researchers) from across the UK and Europe to improve research and practice around developing and accessing sustainability enterprise competencies among learners. The workshop will focus on teaching practice and measurement methodologies aligned with Advance HE/QAA, EU GreenComp, and EntreComp frameworks, as well as the Sustainable Mindset pedagogy.
Key workshop activities will include (subject to change):
Sustainable Enterprise Education toolkit: an introduction.
Impacts of the Sustainable Enterprise Education toolkit.
Research methodology discussions: what works best in evaluating student's sustainability competences.
Networking/knowledge exchange among enterprise/employability & sustainability educators.
Participants will engage in collaborative knowledge exchange, to enhance research and practice on the sustainable mindset pedagogy, applied to higher education enterprise/employability curricula. The workshop is designed for enterprise/business educators, as well as employability leads across disciplines. (Note - Catering will be available for all participants throughout the day. Travel support will be provided for eligible participants)
