Building a Regenerative Fashion Future Brick by Brick
London Climate Action Week is almost here, and we’re inviting the PRME community to swap fabric swatches for LEGO® bricks and re-imagine the fashion system from the ground up. On Friday 27 June 2025, 13:30 – 15:30 BST, Ravensbourne University London will host “Imagine ‘The Future of Fashion’ – through LEGO” the very first PRME event on campus and a fresh addition to this year’s LCAW programme. Why Fashion + LEGO + PRME?
Fashion faces a perfect storm of climate, social-justice and circularity challenges. Traditional panel talks can leave participants inspired yet unsure how to act. LEGO Serious Play® (LSP) flips that script: every voice is equal, hands are busy, and abstract ideas take tangible shape. Research shows that playful, problem-based learning (one of PRME’s Impactful Five/i5 pedagogies) sparks deeper reflection and collaborative action, exactly what responsible-management education is all about. What We’ll Explore
Responsible Fashion – Can style and sustainability truly coexist, and what’s stopping us?
Circular Narratives & Storytelling – How should brands communicate regeneration without green-washing?
Material Ethics – From biosynthetics to recycled fibres, which choices respect both people and planet?
Fashion x Tech – Where will AI, digital twins and traceability tools take jobs and creativity next?
Plus any burning questions you build into the conversation.
Expect to leave with a pocket-sized model (yes, you keep the build!) and a mind full of concrete ideas for teaching, research, design and business practice.
Meet the Facilitators
Lucy Hawthorne, founder of Climate Play, turns hard-to-talk-about sustainability issues into playful, hands-on learning experiences. She delivers the world’s only LSP training dedicated to climate action.
Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, PRME UK & Ireland Chair and award-winning sustainability scholar, leads Ravensbourne’s Regenerative Fashion Lab and MBA Fashion. Her work on the Impactful Five (i5) Playbook for Responsible Leadership puts experiential methods like LSP at the heart of business education. (Ticket Tailor)
Who Should Attend?
Designers, merchandisers, retailers, students, academics, policy-makers, anyone curious about fashion’s next chapter. No prior LEGO expertise required; curiosity and an open mind are the only entry ticket.
