🌟PRME UK & Ireland Newsletter: Back with a Bang 🌟
PRME UK & Ireland is delighted to be back after a summer filled with achievements and exciting milestones.
While our newsletter may have taken a seasonal pause, our community certainly has not. Over the past few months, members across the UK and Ireland have continued to drive impactful initiatives, foster meaningful collaborations, and champion responsible management education in inspiring ways.
As we return, we're looking forward to sharing the highlights, celebrating successes across our network, and reconnecting with our vibrant community. From innovative projects and partnerships to events and achievements from our signatory schools, there's plenty to catch up on and lots more coming up!
Here's a look at what our community has been up to over the summer...
🔗We've launched our PRME Blog & Knowledge Exchange Hub as a space for sharing stories and case examples of engagement with RME across the chapter. Need some inspiration for upcoming teaching - take a look, or submit a feature of your own!
🏆THREE PRME UK & Ireland member schools were winners at the PRME Global Awards in Cairo.
Professor Elaine Doyle from Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick accepted the Pedagogy Award on behalf of a team who have developed and delivered climate awareness workshops for undergraduate students.
Dr Laura Steele from Queen's Business School, Belfast, accepted the Academic Development award on behalf of herself and Claire May, for their work on the PRME UK & Ireland Innovative Pedagogy Competition.
Dr Marc Duffy collected the Curriculum Award on behalf of a collaborative team who developed and delivered a Sustainable Leadership Programme through Ulster University.
👏🏻We were delighted to see PRME UK & Ireland members take home awards in three of the four categories. This achievement reflects the passion, innovation and dedication across our community to advancing Responsible Management Education in meaningful and impactful ways!
🍃PRME UK & Ireland Community members also contributed to 13th RMER Conference, which focused on the empowering theme of 'Reclaim, Resist, Reimagine: Sustainability and the Future of Responsible Management Education. Read more about their contributions and takeaways!
🌍NEW EVENT: Meet the PRME Working Groups: Connect & Get Involved

This virtual convening invites the PRME Community to engage directly with the 17 PRME Working Groups. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about ongoing initiatives, understand the strategic value of these groups in promoting Responsible Management Education (RME) worldwide, and ask questions during breakout sessions led by the PRME Working Groups.
These working groups will be dedicated to developing resources relevant to increasing awareness around responsible management education and will curate resources such as trainings, webinars, publications and events going forward
And did you know that 9 of the 17 PRME Working Groups feature co-chairs from your PRME UK & Ireland Community! Plenty of reasons to come along and get involved.
🎉NEW EVENT: An Organisational Guide to Skills for the Green Workforce Transformation BOOK LAUNCH

🌱The green transition demands more than technical expertise - this book shines a light on transferable and transformative skills for a green transition.
It features 45 authors across 15 countries and 17 organisations, all bringing their expertise and practical insight together to share recommendations for workforce development.
This event will bring together authors from this essential guide to deliver lightning talks and engage in a Q&A around the book sections.
Perfectly timed for the start of the new academic year. Alongside signing up, you can also read lots more about how to use this book in our companion piece on our blog.

🚀NEW EVENT: Future Facing Learning Conference 2027
📅When: 7th - 9th April 2027
📌Where: Digital Life, Teesside University
Teesside University has announced the return of the Future Facing Learning Conference 2027, part of their global series exploring the evolving landscape of higher education. The theme this year is: Skills, enterprise and industry-linked learning: Designing curriculum for an AI-enabled economy. The Middlesbrough conference will take place 7-9 April 2027 in the university’s flagship Digital Life building, bringing together a global community of researchers, educators, technologists, and policymakers to examine one of the most urgent questions of our time:
What does it mean to learn, teach, and assess when intelligence itself is becoming artificial, distributed, and continuously evolving?
This conference is a space for bold thinking, practical experimentation, and meaningful dialogue. There are four themes:
➡️Reimagining curriculum for an AI-enabled economy
➡️Knowledge, expertise, and human-AI collaboration
➡️ Professional identity, ethics, and trust in AI-mediated practice
➡️Industry-linked learning and authentic assessment
