We are all aware that UK higher education is facing significant financial pressures, with many institutions navigating staff reductions, hiring freezes, and increasing workloads. At the same time, expectations are rising: students, employers, and wider society are calling for universities to embed environmental and social sustainability meaningfully across curricula, not as an optional extra, but as a core component of learning.
For that reason, we wanted to host this specific PRME session to make you aware of the abundant ways that PRME can support the embedding of responsible management and ESD.
In the UK and Ireland chapter alone, PRME’s Seed Funding Competition has already supported 21 innovative teaching projects, exploring themes such as eco-pedagogy, sustainability mindsets, playful learning, design thinking, and creative approaches like cartoon-based teaching. Each project contributes practical, open-access resources, including guides and playbooks, designed for easy adaptation and use. Alongside a wealth of curriculum toolkits guides and resources, you will find out about PRME pedagogic certification options, opportunities to showcase student work, access funding as well as become part of a national and global community as both staff and students.
So join us to discover just how much PRME has evolved and how it can support you in your work! For all those attending the workshop, you will receive a newly compiled PRME Resource booklet that brings all of the fabulous resources together for the first time. It will also be an opportunity to discuss what support you need most over the next academic year, and propose what you need or might like to offer in as a future potential network event.
We will make space for these discussions.
Join the meeting directly below, no need to book!
When: 11th June, 12:00 - 13:00
