The PRME UK and Ireland Chapter is delighted to invite our community to the PRME UK and Ireland Chapter Conference 2026, taking place from 23 to 26 June 2026 at the University of Bath School of Management.

Set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing global context, the conference theme, ‘Responsibly Navigating the Turbulent Business World’, speaks directly to the challenges facing business, business schools and society today. From geopolitical instability and economic uncertainty to climate change, technological disruption and growing pressures on democratic values, the need for responsible management education has never been more urgent.

A timely space for dialogue, reflection and action

As a Chapter, PRME UK and Ireland exists to support educators, researchers, students and practitioners who are committed to advancing the Principles for Responsible Management Education and the Sustainable Development Goals. Our annual conference is a cornerstone of this mission. It provides a unique space to share ideas, challenge assumptions, build partnerships and collectively explore how management education can respond to turbulence with integrity, creativity and purpose.

The 2026 conference will bring together educators, researchers, practitioners, policymakers and students to examine the current state of responsible management education, research, practice and partnership, and to chart pathways forward. Through papers, panels, workshops, keynote addresses and experiential learning, delegates will engage with both the strategic and practical dimensions of responsibility in business and management education.

Hosted by the University of Bath School of Management

We are grateful to the University of Bath School of Management for hosting the 2026 conference as part of the University’s 60th Anniversary celebrations. The School’s strong international reputation, commitment to sustainability and deep engagement with societal challenges make it an ideal setting for this important conversation.

Bath itself, a UNESCO World Heritage city, offers an inspiring environment where history, innovation and reflection intersect. Its compact, walkable nature and strong sustainability ethos align well with the values of the PRME community, creating space not only for formal sessions but also for meaningful connection and collaboration.

Programme highlights

The conference programme has been carefully designed to reflect the diversity and richness of the PRME community across teaching, research and practice. Key elements include:

  • Doctoral Colloquium (23 June), supporting early career researchers and doctoral students

  • Two full days of conference sessions (24 and 25 June), including parallel paper sessions, panels, keynote speakers, the PRME UK and Ireland AGM, and Chapter awards

  • An optional Experiential Learning Day (26 June), featuring interactive sessions on green-proofing and a Climate Fresk workshop. Places are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis

We are also pleased to confirm Dr Krish Kandiah OBE as a keynote speaker. A social entrepreneur and founder of the Sanctuary Foundation, Dr Kandiah brings a compelling, values‑driven perspective on leadership, ethics and social impact that resonates strongly with the PRME mission. A second keynote speaker will be announced in due course.

A conference rooted in community

At its heart, the PRME UK and Ireland Chapter Conference is about community. It is a space to reconnect with colleagues, welcome new members, amplify innovative practice and strengthen collaborations across institutions and sectors. Whether you are deeply embedded in PRME activity or engaging with the Chapter for the first time, the conference offers opportunities to learn, contribute and shape the future of responsible management education together.

We warmly encourage PRME signatories and non‑signatories alike to join us in Bath for what promises to be an engaging, reflective and forward‑looking conference.
