Deadline Reminder: 2020 Responsible Business and Management Writing Competition

Now that most of us have finished marking work submitted in the latter part of 2019, please remind colleagues that the deadline for our writing competition entries is 28 February 2020. Any student work submitted at any time during 2019 or the early weeks of 2020 is eligible in the 3 categories listed below.

Last year students at more than 20 UK and Ireland Business Schools submitted entries, and we're hoping to extend that number this year. Our competition (entering it as well as winning it) is a proven way to recognise students for their engagement with the wider Sustainable Development Goals agenda and we encourage you to use it in this way.

The competition in brief:

1. The competition has three categories - undergraduate essays and reports, postgraduate essays and reports, and an Alternative Media category open to both PG and UG students. 2. It is open to a wide variety of disciplines - marketing, economics, accounting, leadership and management etc.

3. It is designed to accept work already written by students i.e. it does not require specially written essays on a topic set by the organisers. But students can also devise their own writing topics in a relevant area, if they so wish.

4. There are three prizes in every category, jointly sponsored by the Chapter and Oxford Brookes University: first prize (£500), second prize (£250) and third prize (£100).

5. Entrants can be from PRME and non PRME signatory business schools - this competition is part of our outreach to the wider sector.

If you have any questions, just get in touch with the organisers, Oxford Brookes Brookes Business School, on fob-prme@brookes.ac.uk

We look forward to a full inbox of entries by our deadline at the end of 28th February 2020!
