PRME UK&I : Two great events in one!

Two great events in one: Book now! Don't Miss it - Places are filling up!

 

Keynote speaker:  Professor Jesse Dillard, Professor Emeritus from Portland State University in the USA

 

This ESRC seminar is part of the series ‘Architects of a Better World: Building the Post 2015 Business Engagement Architecture’, which focuses on research related to sustainability and responsible business and management education and the challenges posed by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

 

The aim of the workshop is to facilitate the development of research and practice related to this agenda. For example: articles for publication, presentation skills for conferences and teaching and learning approaches to this agenda. 

Participants will be encouraged to present current work in progress, in an encouraging and supportive environment, in order to promote discussion and encourage critical thinking between researchers.

 

Attendance for this event is free and there are some limited bursaries to cover travel and/or subsistence. Details available on application to conference organisers 

 

The event is funded by the ESRC but is designed to coincide with the PRME/BAM Development workshop on Friday 4th May (see below). Delegates are encouraged to attend both events to obtain maximum benefit

Event Two: PRME & BAM SRB SIG: Development Workshop

 

Educating for Responsible Business and Management in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals

 

This PRME/BAM collaborative interactive development workshop will focus on the issues/approaches and underlying pedagogy (with all the complexities that this entails) in teaching and learning sustainability and responsible business and management education. How this links to developing capabilities in students (and faculty) and the challenges posed by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will be encouraged to share ideas and have the opportunity to be inspired by others to build on what they are doing to embrace the SDG agenda.

 

Who Should Attend?

 

The development workshop is open to academics at all levels but would be of particular interest to anyone with teaching and learning interests/responsibilities related to sustainability and responsible business and management.

To share experiences and highlight the ideas/innovations and challenges participants have been implementing and/or responding to.To improve capacity of colleagues to accelerate integration of sustainability & responsibility within their institution and beyond.
